Opinions are a Dangerous thing: Art StylesThis isn't about narking on anyone no, infact this is just my own muses really! You could say this is a journal for ENCOURAGEMENT! *SHINES*
I find sticking to one style restrictive if you are a beginning/moderate artist! (even professionals I might say! though I can't speak for everyone)
Having a distinctive look on how your art is done and produced is understandable and its a desire to appear unique to the point some one can just SEE your work and instantly think 'Oh! that's Ten-days!' or something along the line. However, when you are trying to find who you are and what kind of art you are to produce, I recommend trying, well, a lot of different things! Different styles, mixing styles, different colouring techinque, brushes, tools, shading. Don't feel dependant on what you are already doing and don't feel pressured by people just for trying new things!
Push out of your comfort zone. Can't draw hands? don't avoid it! draw the heck out of them! (how else are you going to learn?)

Eurovision nightGot myself some ice cream and will be making myself compfy on the sofa so I'm ready for the big, glittery, horrible music, camp, pointless politics, drama that is eurovision. It never disappoints me.

Nintendo STEALS Money!Since this has been going around lately, I should probably give my two cents. Basically what it amounts to is that Nintendo has filed Content ID info of their games with YouTube. What this means is that if you upload gameplay video of a Nintendo game, YouTube will automatically monetize that video, put ads on it, a link to where to buy the game, and take the money generated from that video and give it directly to Nintendo. People who do "let's play" videos are, naturally, pissed off because they want to be earning money off their videos, so they're calling Nintendo "thieves" for doing this.
I can see both sides to the story. I can see Nintendo as a corporation wanting to exercise control over their properties. On the other hand, "let's play" videos can often help new gamers find games they otherwise wouldn't have tried.
But here's the thing: Nintendo isn't the first company do this. Both Microsoft and Ubisoft do it already. YouTube has also had a long history of having music videos and

Well, I sure hope you all are having a great holiday season so far and everyone's family's are happy and healthy!

I just wanted anyone that might be interested in picking themselves or a friend up a copy of the collected trade version of The Official Handbook of the Invincible Universe to know, it's now available over on Amazon and other fine online book sellers. There is an absolutely amazing cross section of artists and writers from comics, illustration, television and film animation that contributed to the book. It's 120 pages of Invincible goodness with over 95 uber talented contributors (Neal Adams, Jim Steranko, Art Adams, Ed McGuinness, Michael Golden, Brian Stelfreeze, Jason Pearson, Paul Smith, Erik Larsen, Eric Canete, Cory Walker and tons more) throwing down their considerable skillz on a who's who encyclopedia of the ever expanding Invincible Universe. glad ya liked it my friend, i feel the same way, half the fun of the old handbooks was the wide range of artists involved, something the bean counters at marvel don't seem to care about these days, as much as i know the people that actually produce the new marvel handbooks would love to be getting original artwork for their books.
