after a rather lackluster summer of films that really didn't live up to the hype, i just thought i'd throw it out there for anybody that cared that i personally really enjoyed 3:10 to yuma! i can't guarantee you will but it sure did impress me, it was a really entertaining western with some great acting and excellent direction. i think crowe is one of the best actors in hollywood right now, the guy is so versatile. i knew it had been made in the 50's but i was surprised to find out it was based on a short story by elmore leonard author of get shorty, jackie brown and out of sight to name some of his more recent film adaptations, so now i'll add this super western to that great list of films.

also, king of kong is great, its just the best underdog story since rocky.....AND ITS ALL TRUE!

and i can't wait for the extended directors cut of "Deathproof" come tues. from Tarantino, LOVED it in Grindhouse as much as I hated Planet Terror, thank you Weinstein Bros. for releasing it seperately!

I loved 3:10 and my girlfriend did too. That in itself is a feat considering I have to force her to watch westerns with me. I thought the whole cast was great as well as surprising. I had no idea Luke Wilson would be in it.

I really liked 3:10 as well. I thought Bale did an amazing job and movie really had some great parts in it. Especially when Crow's character started killing people.

total agree on 3:10 to yuma though you forgot to mention mr bales acting. i though ther chemistry between them was great it's what made the movie for me even my 17 year old anime addict like this movie. shoot'em up is a fun action move check all high brain fuctions at the door and just enjoy the slap stick action. saw both these movies on the same day it was a very good day indeed :D
