I just wanted to take a moment to let everybody know that I've put together an homage to Mark Grunewald's original comic book series from back in the early eighties using the characters from the best superhero comic on the stands today, IMHO, Invincible! It's The Official Handbook of the Invincible Universe, an illustrated guide which attempts to detail the Invincible universe and the diverse collection of characters in it. The book features classic artists from the 60's 70's and 80's and many of the biggest names in comics, animation and illustration today providing brand spanking new pin-ups of all the major and not so major characters appearing in the Invincible comic book series.  I'm literally in awe of the talent in these books and I hope everyone who was a fan of the original Handbook series, fans of Invincible and comics in general enjoy it as much as I have putting it together. The first of two 48 page issues will be coming out November 1st from Image Comics. I could sure use all the support I can muster to get the word out about this book, so if you're so inclined, please tell your friends about it, and if you're thinking about picking up the book, please ask your local comic shop if they would order it for you. These books definitely carry my 100% seal of satisfaction approval. If you like comics, awesome art and a book that will provide literally hours of reading enjoyment, The Official Handbook of the Invincible Universe is for you.

a straight up homage to the original Marvel Handbooks using the Invincible characters, been working on it for about a year now.

i'm working on the adventure team and P.a.c.k. piece and i'm throwing in that zortan fool and the intruder as bad guys, as well as the 6 wheel joe mummy vehicle and the cool detachable exploration vehicle. maybe pulsar too, he had a cool look about him.

I know the Marvel Handbooks, just wasn't familiar with the Invincible characters... are they newerish?

Cool, kind of a "Toys of the 70's and 80's" piece then! Maybe throw a couple Micronauts flying around their heads, hahaha! And if you're gonna put Pulsar in, you've GOT to include his enemy Hypnos! hmmm... how many other toys can I think of for you to cram in there... ;)
