Mr. Eliot R. Brown has a great little website he's just launched at
[link]If you don't know Eliot or his work you're in for a treat, especially if you're an old Marvel Comics fan like me. He worked for the company for close to 15 years during some of it's most exciting and productive times, the mid 70's up through the late 80's. Claremont and Byrnes X-Men, Millers Daredevil, Simonsons Thor and so many more. Eliot was the man responsible for all those great mechanical drawings and cutaway illustrations in the original series of of The Official Handbooks of the Marvel Universe as well as the Punisher Armory's and the Iron Manual. Theres already a great selection of those illustrations up on his site, go check em out, they're awesome.
He was also an avid photographer and during his time at Marvel as a member of the bullpen he took thousands of candid photos of his fellow employees at work (John Romita Sr., Dave Cockrum, John Buscema, Marie Severin.....literally everybody that did work or came through the halls of Marvel was likey to have their picture taken at one time or another by Eliot, and there are already a fantastic number of candid behind the scenes shots up over on his site, they are all worth a look if you want to get a glimpse of what was going on behind the scenes at the world's greatest comic book publisher at one of the most creative and fun periods in its existense.
I hope you enjoy checking out all the fun stuff on Eliots website as much as I did, he's a great guy and I just wanted to let anyone that might be a fan of his work or Marvel Comics in general know about this fun and fascinating little site!
Best, Dusty
